Young Frankenstein

“A night of ABBY-NORMAL HILARITY…inspired LUNACY.”

Today we had the privilege of attending the Saturday matinee performance of “Young Frankenstein” at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in downtown Nashville. Be still my heart. Terry and I were to meet Dad, Janice, Josh and Jill at the theater and as an added bonus, Candy decided to join us as well. We are both enormous fans of this outrageously funny movie. So on our way to TPAC, Terry and I met Candy at Green Hills Mall and then we all carpooled together to the theater.

After the production, we all went to the Whiskey Kitchen off of 12th Avenue for an early dinner. A few of us tried the Southern Sliders which was a basket of hot, buttermilk biscuits with an assortment of spreads including blackberry-peppercorn butter, caramelized honey and buttermilk horseradish with either steak, fried chicken, smoked ham or fried green tomatoes which was amazing.  We also tried their amazing mac and cheese, cheeseburgers and other great sandwiches and sides.  Delicious!

Since we were all together, we thought it would also be fun to surprise Janice with her birthday/Mother’s Day gift.

Thanks to all for such a fun and memorable day!

This is one of my all time favorite scenes.
