Well, believe or not, Levi starts school tomorrow. With Covid-19 ravaging the world for the past five months, we decided this would probably be the best chance to see everybody before he is surrounded by teachers and other students. This will be the first time we have visited the Farm since Christmas. I sure have missed seeing everyone.
Dad was mowing and Janice was sewing when we arrived. We air hugged and visited and Jill called down to invited us all up to the big house for an impromptu late lunch. Levi had grilled hot dogs so we sat outside on the front porch and enjoyed the company and the grilled offerings.
We actually had two additional ulterior motives for our visit. Levi is becoming quite the audiophile so we wanted to make sure he had his very own vinyl copy of the preeminent album, “The Wall”, by Pink Floyd to add to his collection and expand his musicology.
Secondly, Terry and I wanted to show Dad and Janice the PDF version of Grandmother Ginny’s book, “Virginia ~ A Walk with History” that we recently gave to her for her 100th birthday.
Before we headed down the road, Dad gave us cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, cantaloupe and fresh basil from the garden. He also gave us half a loaf of sourdough bread and a sourdough starter with a recipe for cinnamon sourdough muffins he said I had to make a soon as we got home which I did. Yum!
