Thanksgiving – 2013

A bountiful table.

We all gathered at the Farm to celebrate an early turkey day. To my delight, we christened the newly completed log cabin, Cedar Haven, with it’s first official holiday meal. A gorgeous golden turkey, corn bread dressing, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, cheesy potato casserole, green bean casserole, corn pudding, sweet potatoes, cranberry relish, gravy and buttery yeast rolls made our stomachs growl with anticipation.  To top it all off, Dad baked two delectable pecan pies for dessert.  And we must not forget the spiced mini cupcakes that the kids went crazy for as well.

The cabin was decorated with a combination of old and new, repurposed and renewed pieces as well as antiques and family hand-me downs. The cabin was warm and cozy and just made  you want to curl up in front of the fire with a good book and snuggle in for the winter.

Thanks to all who made our turkey day a fun, family memory.
