This afternoon, Terry and I joined Josh, Jill and Norma at the gymnasium of Friendship Christian Academy to see Levi perform in the second grade production of “Lemonade”. The play is set in a fairytale world where all of our favorite nursery rhyme characters are having a most terrible day. While Chicken Little, the Three Little Pigs, Humpty Dumpty, the Cat with a fiddle, Little Bo Peep, Little Boy Blue and others sing their sad lament, the wise and cheerful Mother Goose helps them to turn their proverbial lemons into lemonade.
I was so impressed with the choreography, all the cute costumes and the staggering amount of memorization for the songs which included, “Get Your Lemonade”, “The Worst Day All Day Long”, “Recipe For Joy”, “A Change Of Heart” and the show stopping finale, “Make Lemonade”.
