Back to school seems to be the doomsday harbinger to the end of summer. Once again, it has seemingly flown by. Way too fast in my opinion. I feel like I’m just getting in the groove of shorts, hats and sunscreen and now I’m hearing commercials for college and NFL football season kick-offs.
It’s staggering how grown-up the kiddos are getting. Levi is a sophomore this year, Jax a junior while Elijah is bringing up the rear as an official 8th grader.
Additional items of note include Levi continuing to work part-time with Josh to learn all he can about the pool supply business. Jax picked up a summer job at 55 South, a restaurant in downtown Franklin and will work a few hours on the weekends now that school has started. But more importantly for both, they are learning how to navigate the world in customer service industries which will prepare them for the future. Plus, they’re earning walking around money. Who doesn’t like that?
Other rites of passage that are equally mind-blowing include Levi getting his learners permit this spring and Jax getting a drivers license and a car as well. Look out world, the kids are mobile!
