Today BGA hosted Grandparents & Special Friends day at the upper school campus with a lower school production of “At the Bandstand”, a retrospective of classic rock n’ roll hits. Lily’s kindergarten class performed hits from the 1950’s and they did a wonderful job with their renditions of “Sh-Boom” and Hank William Sr.’s hit, “Jambalaya”. Lily, decked out in her red hat and cowboy boots, wowed the crowd with her introduction of “Jambalaya”. It was a raucous, yeehaw good time.
The other classes also did an amazing job performing and entertaining the crowd with the following songs:
Grade 1- The 50’s & 60’s
“Shake, Rattle and Roll”, “Johnny Angel”
Grade 2 – The 60’s
“Knock on Wood”, Beach Boys Blast
Middle School Band – The 50’s
“Rock Around the Clock”
Grade 3 – The 60’s & 70’s

Here is a video of the kindergarten class. We were sitting pretty close to the back but you’ll get the gist. The first voice you hear will be Lily. She has three lines and they are as follows:
“Hey good lookin’, what ya got cookin’?”.
“Then where is it?”
“Hit it!”
