As the last rays of a cool winter sun were fading we found ourselves strolling the grounds of historic Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville. Founded in 1856, it is a cemetery of scenic beauty nestled on 200 acres of rolling hills, set amongst venerable trees.
A cemetery may seem an unlikely place to find oneself but it is often a place of spiritual quietness and artistic inspiration. A place of weathering beauty. A place for sacred souls to rest.
It was here in the whispered hush of a setting sun that we were inspired to capture the ethereal grace of the angels of Mt. Olivet as they silently watch and shelter those who have come before us.
It was a very special walk among angels.
